As you have no doubt already heard about, Nintendo release a new trailer for Super Smash Bros Brawl. The trailer featured a handful of new stages, revealed Fox McCloud as a playable character and most importantly, showed actual gameplay. The game looks to be shaping up rather nicely and already gives off a very satisfying feeling. If you haven’t seen the trailer yet go check on gametrailers.com, youtube.com, ign.com, etc...

We have updated are stages page to include all that were recently revealed. I'm going to have to think of a way to redo the character bar up top so we can include Fox.

Perhaps most importantly of all...Wii is going to be released in less then three days. For anyone that has a preorder (or the balls to wait outside for a week), rock on. For those who don't: BAAAAAHAHAHAHA. Nah just kidding, I feel bad, I'll try not to have TOO much fun.

You know, there's something about running a smash bros site that really makes you want to play smash bros, go figure. I sure as hell had my fill of melee this past week, mainly because there was nothing else to do. You see I live in Buffalo NY. I don’t know if you've heard but recently heavy snow knocked out a shit load of trees and power lines in my area. I've had to live without my computer for about 8 days and it was the worst experience of my life. Luckily it's all over now.

Less then a month now until Wii launches. GameStop and EB stores across the country are supposed to be getting their kiosks in pretty soon so keep your eyes peeled for that.

It's been a few (thousand) days since my last update so I thought I would check in and let you guys know I didn’t get hit by a cement truck. Brawl Brothers is primarily updated by me and only when I have the time. School has got me busy and in addition I'm currently working on another project for Team Hijack. So don’t worry, more updates are on the way and we still have plenty of time before Brawl is out.

In the meantime check out our new affiliate Super Smash Fortress. It's a general Smash Bros site with a load of content and other interesting extras.

Again, if you just can't wait for Brawl talk, come chat it up with myself and some other crazy ass Nintendo fan boys on the forums. (Yes, I will keep mentioning the forums until you join).

Nintendo finally announced the price and release date for Wii. The new console will hit shelves on November 19th with a price tag of $250. Make sure to head over to your neighborhood game store and see if you can reserve it soon.

Team Hijack's old forums were a little glitchy, a little inactive and a whole lot of awful. So we trashed it. The forum files, templates and database have all been cleared and we are starting fresh with a new look, a new feel and a whole new system. Now is the time to pop over and sign up. We have a bunch of new unique features and as always, heated discussions about Smash Bros and other things going on in the gaming industry. Additionally, the first 25 members to register an account and post will receive an exclusive limit of time "Mario Coin" forum trophy (pictured to the right). It can be viewed at anytime from your forum profile.

The German Games Convention has come and gone and the only word that comes to mind is "suicide". Not one drop of fresh info or media for Smash Bros Brawl. Hell, not even a release date or price for Wii. It's almost September Nintendo; get your nuts in gear.

Anyway, the updates have been a little slow due to school starting up and other projects Team Hijack is working on, but we have stuff coming real soon. I have another Newcomers?? in the works and an article with some suggestions of what to do between now and Wii's launch which should be pretty hilarious. As far our "Downloads" page that is still completely blank, feel free to send in some shit. The worst that can happen is it sucks and we completely reject all your hard work.

We now have a new feature article series titled "Newcomers??.” In each edition we will examine 3 Nintendo or 3rd Party characters and discuss the possibility of them showing up in Brawl as a new playable fighter. The first edition is up now so check it out.

We have a new affiliate too. Smash Project is an online Smash bros text based RPG. It's looking pretty good so far so be sure to give them a look. I guess this means we have to actually make the affiliate page now. By the way, Wii is TOTALLY coming out late October/early November so if you didn’t break your Xbox 360 yet, you might want to get on that.

The profiles for Pit, Wario and Snake are done, completing the standard profiles for the 9 characters we are currently aware of. By no means is this the end for profiles. Once we know more about the characters in Brawl when the game comes out we will feature extended profiles including a character history, moves lists, strategies, screen shots and more.

Another thing I want to get across is that nobody has to worry about the site slowing down. We won’t be able to update everyday obviously but we have more then enough content and special features planned for the wait until Brawl is released.
