Pit is a young angel boy from Angel Land. Yes, Angel Land, the least creative name in the universe. A war broke out between Medusa the Goddess of Darkness and Palutena the Goddess of Light. Medusa and her dark army conquered Palutena's warriors. Medusa then had Palutena captured and the Three Sacred Treasures, The Mirror Shield, The Arrow of Light, and the Wings of Pegasus in her possession. Palutena, with what power she had left, called upon Pit to recover the Sacred Treasures and rescue her.

Over the past couple decades Pit has apparently evolved into a sweet looking anime style angel. He must have overseen all of Nintendo's greatest going at each other from "Angel Land" and finally decided to come down to join the good fight. The decision to include Pit is an interesting one, but with his new look we are certainly not complaining. He will be able to use his bow that can transform into duel blades. From what we can tell he will be able to jump more then the standard number of times, making him a good choice for aerial combat.
