All the way from the lands of Hyrule comes Link, the Hero of Time. Link is most noted for his conquest over the evil lord Ganon and for bringing peace back to Hyrule. He has traveled to other lands and even through time itself in order to vanquish growing evil. He usually fights with his trusty Hyrulean shield and the legendary blade, the Master Sword. He also carries with him an arsenal of secondary weapons including a bow, a boomerang, bombs and a grapple device called hookshot. Link's large range of tools and raw skill handling a blade make him a fierce opponent on the ground or skies.

Link is almost as obvious a choice as Mario is when it comes to the Brawl roster. He is second in command at Nintendo's house of mascots and no stranger to combat. He even showed up in Namco's Gamecube fighter, Soul Caliber 2. It remains to be seen if Zelda, Ganondorf or Link's younger alter ego will show up for the fight this time.
